A familiar loyalty programme in a digital form.
Loyalty platform
Kroopka: an NFC loyalty web app
A loyalty programme with an NFC key fob instead of paper stamp cards. Customers use one fob to collect points across participating businesses, while service providers manage their programme and rewards through a dedicated panel.
Web application
NFC

One key fob. Many reasons to come back.
A paper loyalty card works until a customer leaves it at home. Several favourite places mean several cards, each with a separate programme. Kroopka brings this familiar idea into a web application: an NFC key fob replaces paper stamps.1
Customers use a single key fob with service providers participating in Kroopka. They collect points in those providers’ loyalty programmes, while businesses manage their programmes and rewards in a dedicated panel.
Two sides of one programme
For the customer
One small object that can stay with their keys. The same key fob works across different participating loyalty programmes.
For the business
A panel for managing the loyalty programme and rewards. Points are recorded in the application rather than on another paper card.
From a stamp to an application
The starting point is a familiar habit: return, collect points and claim a reward. Identification and recording become digital, while the purpose remains easy to understand. A physical key fob connects the application to an everyday interaction.
Technology has a specific role here: connect customers with a loyalty programme without filling their wallets with cards.
The project combines a loyalty web application with a business management panel. It shows how a digital interface and a physical object can support the same process.

Footnotes
-
NFC is a form of contactless communication. In this project, the tag is part of the key fob used with loyalty programmes. ↩
